I’m really interested in contributing to Wiki Books. In case u’re confused what the hell I’m talking about, well… WiKi Books is a collection of open-content textbooks that anyone can edit. I would be starting with books based on GNOME. Writing about the features and apps might be fun. Oh and the best part is, it’s like a collaborative work. It might just turn out helluva fun.

What’s with this WIKI thingy?
Tommy can ya hear me?
So guess what I never really noticed… ‘gEdit’–the text editor for GNOME–offers auto spell checking. Pretty cool huh? Now I dont even have to pull up OOo Writer or AbiWord to type, but straight away use gEdit to type my crap, add the taggies from there, and post it! Besides like a word processor, it also provides u with doc stats, viz. number of lines, words, characters w/ or w/o spaces, etc. THE POWER OF FREE SOFTWARE, like I’ve been ranting for a couple of years. Rock on you GNOME developers.
I was listening to The Beatles for a change this evening. Anthology 2 would be the album! Like I always said they’re ok, but I would any day prefer a band like The Who to the Beatles. The Who were outrageous. Their was this fire in the music when they played… well… especially when u notice Pete Townshend leaping up in the air and spinning his hand in exaggerated windmill like motions (he’s only playing the chords, Hi!), or say Roger Daltrey screaming like a madman and swinging the microphone all around, or Keith Moon blasting the cymbals and the drums like crazy. Seriously, watching someone like Keith is inspiring! Only exception was John Entwistle standing quietly in one corner, very gentle and watchful, however his bass was still the heart of the band.
‘See me, feel me, touch me, heal me!’
Simply love the band live in their Woodstock performance, dont I? One of a kind I tell ya. If any of you are into the 60s music, do pick up the Woodstock movie… it’s got some awesome performances by bands and musicians such as Canned Heat, Joan Baez, Richie Havens, Santana (the drummer in the band was awesome), Jefferson Airplane, etc. Oh and who could miss the Queen herself? Janis Joplin–standing bare feet on the stage–the voice that does magic. And yes of course Jimi Hendrix’s performance is claimed to be one of his best ever.
Tommy can you hear me?
Adios!

It’s no good trying to place your hand
where I can’t see because I understand
that you’re different from me
yes I can tell
that you can’t be what you pretend
and you’re rocking me backwards
and you’re rocking towards the
red and yellow mane of a stallion horse.

It’s no good trying to hold your love
where I can’t see because I understand
that you’re different from me
yes I can tell
that you can’t be what you pretend
the caterpillar hood won’t cover the head of you
know you should be home in bed.

It’s no good holding your sequin fan
where I can’t see because I understand
that you’re different from me
yes I can tell
that you can’t be what you pretend
yes you’re spinning around and around in a car
with electric lights flashing very fast…

So, who’s this chap again?
Pony Fair…
Was almost asleep, when I heard a tring tring—the phone ringing—the landline. Too far away!! Minutes later, another tring tring—cell ringing. Too close by, damn!
Sis – where were you? Have been trying to call you.
me – Was too tired and sleeping.
Wasn’t sleeping actually, had 3 cans of beer with a friend from work, and was feeling a bit lousy and numb afterwords. Got back home and drentched meself in da tub. Almost fell asleep there. Got up because of the phone ringing tho. Weird hold music, when I picked up the reciever. Frustated as I was, dropped meself on the bed and wanted to sleep. And then sis called again (refer to opening of the post).
Sis was asking how the interview went. All of a sudden I thought it was ok. I had to take this test and I was feeling lousy afterwords, as it felt like I sucked. But when talking to her, I felt it wasn’t that bad. Probably I’ll get a call back, probably they would ignore me from now on. Who cares? Atleast I tried. Sis is cute tho! Love her like crazy.
I am listening to this lady named Lisa DeBenedicts! Got to her site from Scott’s. Clicked on the playlist there and my Totem (a media player in GNOME) is playing the songs. It’s weirdo music, but kinda ok, like Dido. I was in the mood to listen to Roger’s Pros and Cons of HitchHiking. But I only have the tape and my system’s broken.
I guess Scott is pissed as Roger is gonna play with the Floyd. Probably I am too. But then if it’s for the cause, then I’m ok with it! Roger better not gets too buddy buddy with that David guy! Just be professiobal and all, and we will be cool after Roger plays with Floyd or as a Floyd again after 24 years. But just this one time, and that too for the cause.
Anyway, I have had anough of this Lisa babe. Back to listening to Rachel McCartney. Oh how I love her voice and music. Wish I would get to meet a girl like her, get married and live happily ever after. Oh, and guess I’m outta me mind and talking non sense, Well in case u didnt notice it’s almost 3:30 in the morning and I should be sleeping. So be it!
Adios!!!
P.S. –> Atleast I changed the template a bit. Looks kinda cool, eh?
Okie so who doesnt love Ubuntu? I simply love it! Nothin like a Debian, but I outta have the latest software in my box, so Ubuntu is a better deal.
Anyway, havent dont anything here for a while. ‘Mother should I trust the government?’ When was the last I have put on Floyd?
I have had the opportunity of meeting a few of the most amazing people on the web, among the floydians. This Canadian one at yahoo who goes by somethin like gilmourwaters, is quite interesting to talk to sometimes; though havent seen her around lately. Anyway, has pretty amazing insights regarding Floyd’s music, especially Syd’s solo works. But its just that I dont have it anymore to talk for hours on music. There comes a time in your life that u find yourself least bothered of what others are into. All u need is ur fucked up opinion and u’ll be all satisfied.
So I love my music, whatever crap I have, and I dont have to fight with the rest of the world to prove how my music is much better than theres. Funny as it seems, thats what I was busy doin during my college days. I whould be lying if I said, I didnt find it amusing to go on fightin in a petty chat room for probably 6 or 7 hours, straight. It was hella fun.
But these days I am simply pleased with other things around. Music is the essencial part, theres no dening. It’s something I am always lookin upto. Listening to your music, all alone, gives u the pleasure like nothin else, possibly. However, it’s also pretty interesting to explore my GNU/Linux. It’s a joy some of the Windoze users could never imagine.
Anyway, today is the last day of my break from work. Funny thing is I dont hate work anymore. I’m pretty much used to the stuff that I’m supposed to do. It’s also fun being referred at the place as ‘Hostile’. Funny part is, I was busy emailing people for the later 2 years of the college days and got into the habit of typing randomly. Which is what I do at work, reply to what people are inquiring, in witing.
‘I have become comfortably numb.’ I’m listening to Floyd on random. This was one songs I loved to hate. I used to dislike the fact that people who new shit about Floyd thought this was like their best song or something. Thanks to David and his guitar solos. Kids could be really ignorant at times… damn. Sorry; I’m off to reading Jorge.
Adios!
